Raikot SDM visits BDPO to check irregularities

Taking cognisance of alleged irregularities found in the functioning at the office of Block Development and Panchayat Office, Pakhowal, the Raikot SDM, Dr Himanshu Gupta, has cautioned the in-charge of the office to rectify all irregularities without delay.

Irregularities, including lack of records regarding various development projects and complaints received from the public, were among major irregularities found during the surprise visit by the SDM at the concerned office on Monday. Maintaining that certain irregularities were observed in the functioning of the Pakhowal BDPO office, Gupta said the BDPO Bhushan Kumar had been advised to immediately rectify all irregularities found during his visit today.

“Though there were certain other irregularities too, the BDPO has been asked to complete records regarding development projects and ensure quality of the work regarding each project. As no register to record complaints being received from public, we have advised him (BDPO) to complete records and resolve all complaints by inspecting spots personally,” said Gupta.
