Ludhiana: USPC Jain Elementary School, Chandigarh Road, celebrated 'Raksha Bandhan' on its school campus. Kids were dressed up in traditional attire and a 'Rakhi Making' activity was conducted in which toddlers learned to make rakhis. A special assembly was organised on the occasion.
Quiz and declamation contest
Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Kitchlu Nagar, organised an inter-branch commerce declamation and quiz contest. Restoring dignity of Indian currency, bridging vast economic inequalities, necessities far beyond the means, co-operative federalism, GST as 'Good and Simple Tax' were the points of apparent effects being taken by the speakers. Intellectually expert team from BVM Udham Singh Nagar was declared as the winner of Quiz contest by beating BVM Kitchlu Nagar in buzzer round after a tie.
Function on patriotism
With the aim to develop patriotism among the students, a function was organised in KVM School, City Campus. Students were dressed up as freedom fighters. Children started programme by recitation of patriotic poems and raising of slogans. The children also took out a march on the campus.
‘Happy Spirit’ at Bal Bharti
An activity named 'Happy Spirit' was held at Bal Bharti School. They children clicked selfie picture with their near and dear ones. This interesting activity brought joy for kids as it allowed kids to share time with family members
Teej celebrations
Teej was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Dil''s Nursery School, Model Town Extension, Ludhiana. The school was with flowers. The children came dressed up in traditional colourful Punjabi dresses. The children performed bhangra and giddha. Pricipal Harbans Kaur Gill distributed prizes and certificates to all children.
New GMT Public School
Teej festival was organised at the school. Students participated in the festival with a great enthusiasm. Function started with the 'shabad' to seek blessings of the Almighty. Various songs, poems on 'Savan' and giddha items were performed by school students.
Police DAV Public School
The school was abuzz with celebrations of Teej. The wave of excitement prevailed on the school campus as the day commemorated with fun filled celebrations. Students, full of energy, were in the best of their festive spirits and enjoyed swings in the school which were decorated with flowers. Students came up dressed up in traditional Punjabi attire and presented folk song and dances representing cultural aspects relating to rich heritage of Punjab.
Workshop for teachers
Shamrock Christian Senior Secondary School held a workshop for the teachers. Anjali Singh explained the teachers on class room management and with short stories, examples to make learning process interesting and motivate students to think rationally. She explained how education could inculcate self discipline and commitment.
Health lecture for students
Dr Deepak Bhatt, Prof of Pediatrics from the DMCH delivered an awareness lecture at Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Kitchlu Nagar, Ludhiana. To create awareness among students regarding common diseases in the current he advised them to take adequate preventive measures. He said students could boost immunity by eating fresh fruits .
