Rangoli, flower competition held

Ludhiana: Guru Nanak Public School, Model Town extension, organised rangoli and fresh flower arrangement event. Students of Class IV and V participated with great enthusiasm. Students exhibited their creative skills by preparing pictures of Lord Ganesha, kalash and peacock, among others. Principal Mona Singh congratulated the winners and said such competitions enable students to express their creativity.

Annual sports day

Shamrock Christian Senior Secondary School organised the annual sports meet for tiny tots. The whole school was decorated with flags, buntings and balloons. The day commenced with the march past by primary section students. Principal P Singh inaugurated the event. Kindergarten students participated in various games, including balloon race, rose race, tri-cycle race, rat race, hop race, doll race and monkey race. Primary section kids took part in relay race, three-legged race, football race, 100 m race, sack race, potato race and spoon and lemon race, among others.

Jesus’ Sacred Heart School

Jesus' Sacred Heart School held its athletics meet today. The event began with a colourful opening ceremony, followed by a speech of Principal Kirti Sharma. Students took oath before the games started. Hurdles race was a treat for the spectators. The parents also took part in special fun races. Students participated in various activities, including relay race, shot put and tug of war among others.

Farewell organised

Students of BVM School, Chandigarh Road, gave farewell to Class XII. The event commenced with a welcome speech by Class XI student Ragini. Students presented various items, including giddha, bhangra and fun games. Amanpreet Kaur, Teena Takkar, Himanshu, Gautam Sharma, Rohit Verma, Mehak, Charul, Sahil Kumar and Anmolrajpreet Singh were awared for maximum attendance, consistent performer, philanthropist, best sports person and all rounder, respectively.

Green Land Public School

A grand farewell was accorded to Class XII students by management, staff and students of Green Land Senior Secondary Public School, Jalandhar bypass, Ludhiana. Outgoing students delivered emotional speeches and shared their golden moments. A cultural programme was held on the occasion wherein students performed dance, sung songs and ghazals. Rehan Sood, Class XI student sang “Mera to Jo Bhi Kadm Hai” and was awarded Rs 2,100 by Dr Rudhra.

BCM School

BCM School, Chandigarh Road, organised a farewell party for Class XII students of commerce and humanities stream. A PowerPoint Presentation was showcased which took students down the memory lane. Principal DP Guleria asked students to realise importance of discipline, focus and hard work. He inspired them to stay focused and become responsible citizens. School Captain Lovanshi expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of Class XII. The ramp walk by girls and boys left everyone awestruck. Inderpal of commerce and Lovanshi of humanities stream were declared Mr Farewell and Ms Farewell. TNS
