The students of Police DAV Public School celebrated Red Day on Wednesday. The objective was to introduce the tiny tots to red colour articles. The students and and the teachers came in red attire. The little ones participated in various activities and showcased their hidden talent. The students enjoyed colouring, thumb printing and a rooh afza party. The young ones looked cool and enthusiastic in red dress.
Immunisation drive held
GGN Public School organised a vaccination drive in which around 600 students of the school were administered measles and rubella vaccine. The students from nursery to Class X were vaccinated by a team of expert doctors and health workers. After vaccination, the students were kept in an observation room. The students were also given refreshment before vaccination. Principal Parminder Kaur said that it is very important for the children to be vaccinated against measeles and rubella. She also thanked the parents for their active cooperation in making the vaccination drive succesfull.
MGM Public School
MGM Public School administered measles and rubella vaccine to 1,300 students under the age of 15 years. Dr Parvinderpal Sandhu, civil surgeon, Dr Pardeep Malhotra, medical officer, and their six teams vaccinated the students. All the students were accompanied by their parents. The objective of the drive was to eliminate measles and congenital rubella syndrome. Principal Poonam Sharma motivated the students and their parents to be a part of this vaccination for a safe, secure and healthy life.
Helen Keller remembered
A special assembly was held by the students at DCM Presidency School in the memory of Helen Keller. They showed how her teacher Anne Sullivan spelt each word on Keller’’s hand and helped her to learn and bring about a difference in her life. They also sang a motivational song. Principal Liya Sayal told the students how Keller, despite being deaf and blind, achieved success in her life.
Mahatma Munjal remembered
BCM School, Chandigarh Road, Ludhiana, commenced a three-day event to celebrate 101st birth anniversary of the Arya Samaj founder Mahatma Munjal. Over 4,000 students participated in the hawan ceremony at the school campus. Various inter-school activities, including portrait making and greeting card making activities were held on the occasion. The students were also briefed about philanthropic vision and life of the founder. — TNS
