Relive poetry of Sahir Ludhianvi

The Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust (NSKT) today announced that they would be organising a musical drama titled “Sahir-Kahaan Ho Tum” on March 8 to celebrate life, poetry and songs of the legendary poet Sahir Ludhianvi in association with the Ibaadat Foundation, New Delhi.

The event would be held at Guru Nanak Dev Bhawan, Ludhiana, from 6.30 pm to 9 pm. The function will be followed by an award ceremony where Waheeda Rehman, a veteran Bollywood actress would be honoured with the first “Noor-e-Sahir” award which is instituted by the NSKT in the fond memory of Sahir Ludhianvi.

Awards would also be presented to individuals who have made outstanding contributions in the field of art and culture.

“We are pleased to organise ‘Sahir-Kahaan Ho Tum’ which is our tribute to the legendary poet Sahir Ludhianvi. Through the event, we not just aim to celebrate Sahir Ludhianvi’s works but also promise an enjoyable evening to the audience,” said Sunil Gupta, vice president, NSKT, and Bipin Gupta, general secretary, NSKT.
