As per the information, this road has not been repaired since a long time. The area residents said they have brought the issue into the notice of the authorities of local Municipal Corporation many times but nothing has been done to improve the condition of this road so far. Some area residents even blamed use of substandard material in construction work of the road for early decay of the road.

“The road is full of potholes and it is almost impossible to travel on this road. The difficulties increase further when it rains and potholes become invisible and the commuters often remain on risk of falling,” said a government employee who commutes from this road daily.

It was also found that the road was broken from several places and many potholes were present on the road. The local residents claimed the road has neither been reconstructed nor repaired for a long time. Interestingly, the residences of many top officials of the district administration have also been located in the area.

The area residents have demanded from the Municipal Corporation authorities to at least get the road repaired as soon as possible to avoid inconvenience to the commuters.

Municipal Corporation Ludhiana Zonal Commissioner (Zone D) Kulpreet Singh was not available for comments despite repeated attempts to contact him.
