SAI training centre outperform their counterparts in table tennis

Trainees of the Sports Authority of India (SAI) proved their mettle in table tennis in boys’ category in the district-level games (boys and girls U-25) on Saturday.
The Guru Nanak Stadium coaching centre secured second position while Kundan Vidya Mandir and the Punjab Agricultural University ranked third in table tennis.
The three-day event includes 17 games being conducted by the Punjab Sports Department under the state government’s “Mission Tandrust Punjab” to encourage youngsters to participate in sports.
In handball, the Satish Chander Dhawan Government College and PAU Smart School bagged top honours in the boys’ and girls’ categories, respectively.
In the boys’ section, PAU Smart School and PAU secured second and third positions, respectively whereas in the girls’ group, Amrit Indo Canadian Academy, Ladian, stood first and PAU finished second runners-up, respectively.

- Guru Nanak Club beat BCM Club 59-28 and Police Lines Club beat Swat Club 37-20.
