Sat Paul Mittal School quelled a strong challenge from hosts Guru Nanak Public School, Sarabha Nagar, before wrapping up the issue 2-1 and secured top position in the boys’ U-19 in the Inter-School Ludhiana-II Zone Football Tournament here on Friday.

In the match for hard-line cup, Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar, fought it tooth and nail to edge out Sacred Heart Convent School, Sarabha Nagar, 4-3 to finish at third place. The match was decided through tiebreaker as the stipulated period failed to resolve the issue.
