New ABC Montessori School

The festival of Teej celebrates the bounty of nature, arrival of rains and greenery surrounded by social activities, rituals and customs. Students of New ABC Montessori School celebrated Teej with great joy and fervour on the school campus. Students came dressed in traditional Punjabi dresses. The campus was decorated with swings and items related to Teej. Teachers and kids were seen enjoying the swings. A giddha performance was also given by girls. Addressing the kids, principal Sarabjeet Kaur talked about the importance of the day and mentioned that Teej was primarily a festival celebrated by girls and women with songs and dances mainly in the northern and western parts of India. Students were delighted to apply mehendi, play on swings, and enjoyed eating traditional sweets.

Childhood Kindergarten

Fun, frolic and gaiety came alive on the campus of Childhood Kindergarten Playway School, Punjab Mata Nagar, when the festival of Teej was celebrated with great pomp and show. Students participated whole-heartedly in the fun-filled function. A Punjabi song presented by tiny-tots of pre-nursery was a treat to the ears. Traditional dances bhangra and giddha was performed by boys and girls of nursery. Students looked mesmerising in Punjabi attire with heena on their hands. The programme began with a dance competition for tiny-tots.

Kiddies Paradise

Tiny tots of Kiddies Paradise, Kochar Market, celebrated Teej with great enthusiasm and joy. Students, dressed in Punjabi cultural attire, drenched themselves in bhangra and gidhha beats. Creating a Teej atmosphere, bangle were sold on the campus, girls applied mehandi and enjoyed the swings set up on the campus.

GMT Public School

Students came dressed in colourful attire. They performed dance on various traditional songs. Swings, set up for the students, were decorated with flowers. A Miss Teej contest was also held.

Guru Nanak Public School

The festival of Teej was celebrated with great pomp and show by the tiny tots of Guru Nanak Public School, Model Town Extension. The traditional colourful costumes of the students enhanced the charm and mood of the celebrations. The entire wing was tastefully decorated with buntings, fresh flowers, swings and ribbons. Keeping in mind the theme of Teej, the display boards were decorated accordingly. Cut out of clouds with rain drops gave a complete picture of the rainy season. The tiny tots danced on famous Punjabi numbers and relished traditional food items such as kheer and malpuras.
