SISJMPS students shine

Ludhiana: Students of Sant Isher Singh Ji Memorial Public School, Karamsar (Rara Sahib), participated in 'Classical Shabad gayan and Gurbani Kanth competition'. Jeevanjot Kaur, a student of Class IX-C, Manvir Singh of IX-C, Simrandeep Kaur of  X-B, Gurleen Kaur of X-A, Damanpreet Kaur of  IX-C) and Balbir Singh of  IX-C of group II of the school participated in shabad gayan and won the first prize and brought laurels to school by winning prize money of   Rs 3100 and a trophy and certificates. Harmanpreet Singh, a student of Class VI-C, Gurbakhshish Singh of  VII-C and Sahibpreet Singh of  VI-F of another group of school participated in the Gurbani Kanth competition and won III prize. The school team bagged first position out of twenty participating teams. The principal of the school, Dr Dhiraj Kumar Thapliyal, applauded the endeavour of the students.

Educational trips by Blossoms

Two educational trips were conducted by Blossoms Convent School to make students aware about the practicalities. The students from VIII to XII classes were taken under the observation of their respective teachers to the science city. They were shown 3D videos and laser show regarding the history of scientific India. Moreover, they were exposed to the rich culture of Punjab at the Rangla Punjab. Similarly, students of Kindergarten went for a trip to Wonderland. The tiny tots enjoyed at the water park and in the disco station. their explorative and adventurous spirits were satisfied.

Students set up canteen

The students of Class XII of Drishti Dr RC Jain Innovative Public School organised 'Food Express' in which they setup a canteen for the school students and staff. This project was undertaken with a view to promote business skills among students and also develop management skills. The profit generated through this venture was donated to project 'Udaan'. The project is an initiative taken by the school to educate the slum children. The principal, Gauri Chhabra while addressing the students, appreciated their efforts and also applauded them for this noble cause. — TNS
