Ludhiana: A students of MA (Hindi), 3rd Semester, of Master Tara Singh Memorial College for Women has brought laurels to the college by procuring university position in the December 2018 examination. Shimpy has bagged 10th position in the university and first in the college by securing 75.5% marks.
KCW 2nd at canoeing, kayaking meet
Punjab University had organised an inter-college canoeing and kayaking tournament at Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh from March 2 to 4. The Khalsa College for Women won the championship in kayaking and bagged the overall 2nd position in the tournament with 85 points. Five girls from the college, Monika, Pooja, Urmila, Soniya and Manjot won 25 medals in various events. Urmila won five gold medals, Monika got 10 medals, Soniya won six medals, Manjot and Pooja bagged four medals each.
Students bring laurels
Students of Kamla Lohtia SD College here showcased their remarkable talent in co-curricular activities by winning several prizes at ‘Digi Quest 2019’, an inter-college event held at Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management and Technology (GGNIMT), Civil Lines. The college students won prizes in various contests, including paper reading, business plan, Powerpoint presentation and digital poster making. Rishabh Katyal of BCom III bagged first prize in the paper reading contest while Sushant of BCom III and Bhupendra of BBA III secured first prize in the business plan contest. Akshit Dhand and Ankush Babuta of BCom III won second prizes in the Powerpoint presentation event. TNS
