Students excel in exams

LUDHIANA: Students of GTB National College, Dakha, displayed remarkable performance in BCom 5th semester and 3rd semester exams conducted by the Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh. Gaganpreet Kaur of 5th semester stood second in the PU and first in the ollege by scoring 89.5 per cent marks. Mandeep Kaur stood second in college by scoring 81 per cent marks while Shubham Verma scored 79.67 per cent and stood third. As many as 22 students scored over 70 per cent marks. In BCom 3rd semester, Prabhjot Kaur bagged 8th position in the PU and first rank in college by scoring 85 per cent marks. Sandeep Jain and Pritam Kumari stood second and third in college.  Principal Avtar Singh congratulated the faculty and students for achieving great results.

Namya Jain tops PU 

Namya Jain of Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management, Ludhiana, hit the bull’s eye by securing 1st rank in BCom 5th semester of Panjab University (PU). Out of 200 students who appeared in exams, 89 bagged distinctions and 197 got first divisions. Principal Dr R L Behl felicitated all the students for their efforts and motivated faculty. hairman of college managing committee SP Oswal wished luck to the students.

Bajaj College students shine in commerce exams

Students of Bajaj College, Chaunkimann near Jagraon, once again proved their mettle in commerce exams. Misha scored 71 per cent marks and sood first in college. Gursewak with 66.33 per cent marks and Mandeep with 66.16 per cent marks secured second and third positions respectively. Principal Dr Shikha Dhall congratulated students and college faculty members.

Educational trip to Jaipur

Indian Institute of Fashion Technology (IIFT), Ludhiana, organised an education trip to Jaipur. The objective was to make students familiar with interior designs and market surveys of different cultures. Students visited Amer fort and Jal mahal, which showcase Rajputana style of architecture. Students also explored markets including Nehru market and Jauhri Bazaar known famous for textiles and printing. IIFT director Geeta Nagrath said, “The trip proved extremely helpful and motivational for students. Such field trips are essential to experience designs which cannot be felt on photographs. 

Laurels for DDJMC

Students of Devki Devi Jain Memorial College for Women, Ludhiana, brought laurels by scoring excellent marks in BCom 5th semester exams conducted by the Panjab University (PU). Priya bagged 1st position in college by securing 79.50 per cent marks while Ishika Soni with 78.16 per cent marks and Shivani with 77.50 per cent marks secured second and third positions respectively. In BCom 3rd semester, Palak secured 80.30 per cent  marks and stood first in college.  Priya Arora and Sapna Chaurasia stood joint second whereas Meenakshi Verma bagged 3rd position in  college.

GNKCW girls shine

Students of Guru Nanak Khalsa College for Women, Gujarkhan Campus, Model Town, Ludhiana, achieved excellent results in BCom  semester-V exams. Prabhjot Kaur stood first in college by scoring 88 per cent  marks. Premjit Kaur scored 86.67 per cent marks and bagged second rank in college whereas while Harmanpreet Kaur bagged third position in college with 85.16 per cent marks. — TNS
