Students excel in PGDCA

The students of Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd, proved their mettle in PGDCA exams conducted by the Panjab University (PU). Sukhmandeep Kaur obtained 4th position in the PU and 1st rank in the college with 86.6 per cent marks. Principal Dr Paramjit Kaur congratulated the students and teachers for an outstanding achievement.

GCG students stand out

PGDCA 1st semester students of GCG, Ludhiana, excelled in exams conducted by the Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh. Sonia Vasan stood first in the PU and scored 89.7 per cent marks while Ritika Chawla ranked 10th in the PU by obtaining 85.3 per cent marks. Principal Savita Sharma said that the excellent results have been possible due to the hardwork of the students and the faculty members. She also applauded the parents of the students who gave them an opportunity to study and compete with their male counterparts.

CTU inks pact 

CT University (CTU), Ludhiana, has signed an agreement with the Rana Hospital, Ludhiana, for courses in Optometry. The MoU was signed by the pro Vice-Chancellor, Dr Harsh Sadawarti and registrar Dr Jagtar Singh Dhiman on behalf of the CTU and Dr BS Rana and Mantu Akon acted on behalf of the Rana Hospital. The two institutions will run 4 year course Bachelor in Optometry (regular and lateral entry) and 2 year Master in Optometry. The theory part will be taught at the CTU campus and the practical hands-on-training to students will be imparted by the Rana Hospital.

GPC students shine 

The students of Gobindgarh Public College, Alour (Khanna), brought laurels by achieving excellent marks in PGDCA 1st semester exams. Alisha Marwaha got first rank in the college by obtaining 81 per cent marks. Rishu Deepak got second position by scoring 80.44 per cent marks. Mandeep Singh and Neha obtained 74.2 per cent marks and third position in the college, respectively. Principal Dr Neena Seth Pajni applauded the students and staff members for their efforts and dedication to achieve great results. — TNS
