Students sensitised to ecology

Ludhiana: Green Land Convent School, Sector 32, Chandigarh Road organised a ‘Spelling Bee Competition’ with an aim to awaken excellence, promote values and provide an opportunity for students to meet and compete with their peers in an atmosphere of fun and friendship.



Ludhiana: Green Land Convent School, Sector 32, Chandigarh Road organised a ‘Spelling Bee Competition’ with an aim to awaken excellence, promote values and provide an opportunity for students to meet and compete with their peers in an atmosphere of fun and friendship. All the students of grades III, VII and VIII participated with high level of enthusiasm. Several students achieved same number of words correctly demonstrating that they all could be the winners. Winners of each section were awarded with Merit Certificates. Principal Vinita Sanan appreciated the students and said this competition was one of the numerous enjoyable competitions and gave students a platform to improve their spellings-skills enhance, vocabulary, learn concepts and develop the use of correct English.

Vigilance Awareness week observed

To instill a spirit of honesty and integrity among students, Vigilance Awareness Week has commenced today at Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Sector-39, Chandigarh Road, Ludhiana. Lined-up competitions such as poster making, declamation and debate at various levels are designed up to make the students aware about the role of preventive vigilance in reducing corruption and to give them an opportunity to ponder over and discuss proactively ways, to strengthen the system. Today the young minds enthusiastically participated in A poster making activity on the theme of maintaining our culture. They drew eye catching posters exhibiting their sensitivity towards the topic. Principal Upasna Modgil in her message exhorted everyone to take steps together to make our country corruption free.

Students take out rally 

The students of Ryan International School, Dugri, participated in the Diwali festivities enthusiastically. The tiny tots of Montessori section took out a rally advocating the harmful effects of bursting firecrackers. They also donated chocolates, diyas and candles to the unprivileged children. Students of classes I to V had a plantation drive. They also decorated diyas and candles in a splendid manner. They decorated these little bundles of luminosity with mirrors and paint them with the colours of their choice. Students of classes VI to Xth made well formed rangolis. They gave their best artistic shots. The myriad colours of the diyas, candles and Rangolis gave the school foyer a festive look. Students enthusiastically took part in the competitions.
