Summer camp ends

Ludhiana: A 10-day summer camp was organised at Peace Public School on the school premises. A plethora of activities such as lamp making, pot painting, shoe painting, etc, captured the attention of the campers. Yoga, meditation, aerobics and sports activities were regular feature of the camp. A number of fun-filled activities such as magic show, dance performances, pool party, rain dance, etc, were organised. A pet show was another attraction. In order to groom the personality of the pupils, the school organised guest lectures by a professional trainer, who shared tips on personality grooming, posture and confidence building. A professional baker trained the children to prepare different kinds of cakes and cookies. The camp ended with a disco party.

Green Land Public School

A 10-day summer camp at Green Land Senior Secondary Public School concluded amid fun and frolic. In all, 200 students from  Classes II to IX participated in activities such as painting, rangoli, flower arrangement, embroidery, stitching, dance, cooking, cricket, volleyball, basketball, karate, table tennis, badminton, etc.

Academic achievers

Students of Nankana Sahib Public School, Gill Park, performed well in Class X examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education. Out of 120 students, eight students - Muskan Dhiman, Neethu Thomas, Inderveer Kaur, Jaskaran Singh Gill, Anjandeep Kaur, Anmol, Harpreet kaur and Jasmine Kaur - scored 10 CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average). In all, 28 students succeeded in getting 9 CGPA. School Principal Harmeet Kaur Waraich said: “The wonderful result is the outcome of hard work of students, teachers and parents of wards.”

World Environment Day 

Green Land Convent School, New Subhash Nagar, celebrated World Environment Day with vigour. The objective was to create awareness among students about the importance of the protection of the environment. The students participated in a poster-making activity, showcasing their awareness about the preservance and cleanliness of the environment.

Nankana Sahib Public School

World Environment Day was celebrated at Nankana Sahib Public Senior Secondary School, Khasi Kalan, to encourage the protection of our environment. It is a campaign established to bring about positive environmental changes. Principal Poonam K Sidhu, school staff and students planted saplings to make the environment green.

Workshop organised

Three students from Ryan International School, Dugri, became a part of the (BBN) Beyond Breaking News, a Ryan Group initiative. The programme organised at the school helped sharpen the skills of students by introducing them to age-old ethics, accuracy and integrity and exposing them to real experiences of news production.
