Ludhiana: NSS Unit of the BCM College of Education completed 15-day long, 100 hours “Swachh Bharat summer internship” programme at Khasi Kalan village. Activities, including solid waste management, nukkad naataks, swacchta mela, awareness campaigns, door to door meetings, movie screening in public places, waste collection drives, cleaning of streets and drains were held by NSS volunteers following the guidelines of the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
Walls of Government High School, Khasi Kalan, were painted. Keeping in mind shortage of water, volunteers also set up a vertical garden at school campus. — TNS
