Green Valley Public School celebrated Teej with enthusiasm. Students came dressed in traditional attire. A cultural programme and a fancy dress competition were organised.

New GMT Public

Teej was celebrated at New GMT Public School. Students participated in the festival. The function started with Shabad to seek the blessings of Almighty. Various songs and poems on ‘Sawan’ were presented by students. Students also performed giddha. A mehndi competition was also organised. Stalls of eatables and games were set up by students.

Green Day celebrated

Green Day-cum-Teej festival was celebrated at Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Doraha. Students came dressed in beautiful green attire. The function began with a dance performance by KG students. Poems related to the month of ‘Sawan’ were presented by the students of Class II.

Stress management

A seminar on stress management was conducted on the premises of SDP Sen. Sec. School, Hazuri Road. Dr Anshul Mahajan shared information regarding the symptoms, remedies and preventions.

Interactive session held

Police DAV Public School, Police Lines, organised an interactive session on ‘Adoloscent Health’ for girls of Classes VIII-IX under the aegis of the Health and Wellness Club of the school. Dr Farah Naved, MBBS MD in Gynaecology and Obstetrics, enlightened the students about the hormonal, mental and physical changes that a woman faces in her adolescence. She guided the students to start their day with physical exercises and a nutritious diet.

World Tiger Day

A PPT on “Save Tigers” was organised for the students at Ryan International School. Slides related to the topic were shown to the children. An elocution competition was also organised for the students of Classes III-V.

Rally organised

A rally was conducted by the students of Ram Lal Bhasin Public School. The students participated in the rally with great enthusiasm. The principal encouraged the students to grow more plants.

Plantation drive

To create awareness and spread the message of save our planet, a tree plantation drive was recently organised at DRV DAV Public School, Phillaur, during which 12,000 saplings were planted. As many as 1,000 saplings will be planted every month at various places and institutions in continuation of the drive.

Student shines

Sana Rana of Green Land Convent School, New Subhash Nagar, bagged bronze in the 4th International Karate Championship at Netaji Indoor Stadium, Kolkata, organised by the All-India Seishinkai Shito Ryu Karate Do Federation. TNS
