Traffic route plan for rath yatra

To prevent traffic jams and ensure smooth commuting, the city traffic police have issued a route map for tomorrow in the wake of the scheduled Jagannath Rath Yatra.
Heavy and light vehicles heading from the Chandigarh Road to the Jagraon side, could take the route via Cheema Chowk, Dholewal Bridge, then Atam Nagar cut, Dugri canal, and then Pakhowal Road.
Buses heading to the Ferozepur side have to go via Atam Park, Dugri chowk, Pakhowal canal, Phullawal chowk, Lodhi Club T-point and then reach Pakhowal Road.
Traffic heading to Chandigarh, Delhi, Ambala from the Ferozepur side should pass from railway underbridge Lodhi Club Road, Phullawal chowk, Pakhowal Road and Sadan bypass.
Light vehicles coming from the Ferozepur side can turn towards D zone Sarabha Nagar from the PAU gate 1 to reach Pakhowal Road.
Commercial vehicles’ entry will remain banned in the city from 8am to 10.30 am.
Traffic heading to Moga, Jagraon, Raikot, will be allowed via Bhai Bala, Hero Bakery, Phullawal and then Ferozepur Road.
