Trains to be diverted, regulated tomorrow

To strengthen the infrastructure, the New Delhi division of the Northern Railways would undertake interlocking work at Ameen railway station on the New Delhi-Ambala section on February 11. Due to a traffic block from 9.40 am to 4 pm that day, some trains would be diverted and regulated.
Meanwhile, rail traffic in the region continued with its erratic run with the cancellation of 10 trains and rescheduling of five others due to operational reasons. Quite a few long-route trains were running behind schedule causing inconvenience to the travelling public.
Railway officials said two pairs of intercity express trains (12459/60 and 14681/82 on the New Delhi-Amritsar/Jalandhar section), 13152 Jammu-Kolkata Sealdah Express, 14649 Jaynagar-Amritsar Saryu Yamuna Express, 14674 Amritsar-Jaynagar Shaheed Express, 15209/10 Saharsa-Amritsar-Saharsa Jansewa Express and 15211 Darbhanga-Amritsar Jannayak Express trains were cancelled for the day.
Among the five rescheduled trains were 12238 Jammu-Varanasi Begumpura Express (2 hours), 12408 Amritsar-Newjalpaiguri Karambhoomi Express (3 hours), 14611 Gazipur City-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Express (2.45 hours), 16317 Kanyakumari-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Himsagar Express (2.30 hours) and 18104 Amritsar-Tatanagar Jallianwala Bagh Express (1.10 hours).

- Train no. 12715 Nanded-Amritsar Sachkhand Express would be regulated for 70 minutes between Panipat and Adarsh Nagar railway stations on Feb 10.

- Train no. 22429 Delhi Junction-Pathankot would be diverted via Delhi Junction, Rohtak, Jakhal, Dhuri and Ludhiana on Feb 11.
- Trains no. 22430 Pathnkot-Delhi Junction would be diverted via Ludhiana, Dhuri, Jakhal, Rohtak and Delhi Junction on Feb 10 and 11.
- Train nos. 15708 Amritsar-Katihar Amrapali Express and 12926 Amritsar-Bandra Terminus Pashchim Express would be diverted via Ambala Cantt, Saharanpur, Meerut City and New Delhi.
