Ludhiana: Students of Tagore Public School Birmi , Ludhiana, celebrated Tree Plantation Day. Students planted saplings on the campus. They also took pledge to save environment, guide and to motivate others to plant trees as much as possible.

Fancy dress competition

Blossoms Convent School organised a fancy-dress competition for the kindergarten students. All students dressed beautifully according to the theme of fruits and vegetables. The school principal, Amarjeet Kaur Naaz, said the motive of these activities were to make the students aware about Indian fruits and vegetables.

Healthy food activities held

To give awareness regarding healthy food, Guru Nanak Public School, Mullanpur, organised an event for kids. A salad- making activity was organised for kindergarten. Teachers made salad and involved the kids and made them aware about nutritious value of green vegetables. For classes I and II, a fruit- chaat making activity was conducted. Primary Head Vineeta Jain encouraged the students for eating healthy food. — TNS
