Truck hits bike, man killed

Rupinder Singh, a resident of Khanna, was killed after his motorcycle was hit by a truck.
Manpreet Singh, a resident of Khanna, told the police that at 8.30 pm on Wednesday, he, along with his cousin Ram Lal Singh and the latter’s friend Rupinder Singh, was going back home on motorcycles. Rupinder Singh and Ram Lal Singh were on the same bike and Manpreet Singh was on another motorcycle. When they reached near Rangia village, a truck hit the bike which Rupinder Singh and Ram Lal were riding. Both of them suffered injuries in the accident. The truck driver sped off after the accident.
The injured were taken to the hospital, but Ram Lal succumbed to injuries on the way.
The Dehlon police have registered a case against the trcuk driver.
