Ludhiana, March 25
A few days after a group of cab drivers held a protest against the alleged exploitation of the drivers by cab service providers Uber and Ola, some Uber’s partner drivers have alleged that the group of protesting drivers indulged in vandalism during the protest.
The partner drivers claimed that the protesting drivers vandalised their vehicles and manhandled them in a bid to force them to join the protest.
“I was at Bharat Nagar Chowk when the group of protesting drivers asked me to join them. When I refused to do so, they manhandled me and vandalised my vehicle,” said a Uber cab driver.
Another cab driver said: “Most of the partner drivers are satisfied with the services of the company and they want to work peacefully.”—TNS
