The Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) has extended the date for applying in degree programmes in Bachelor of Fisheries Science (BFSc), BTech (Biotechnology) and BTech (Dairy Technology) till July 1 without late fee and July 8 with late fee.
Candidates can apply for admissions to these programmes by both online (www.gadvasu.in) and offline (on paper application) modes.
The university has introduced a few major reforms in the process for admission to these undergraduate programmes. Major focus has been to simplify admission to the undergraduate programmes i.e. BFSc, BTech (Biotechnology) and BTech (Dairy Technology). There is no entrance test for admission to these programmes. The admissions would be made on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination i.e. Class XII from any recognised Indian Board. Besides, the number of seats in these programmes has also been increased.
The eligibility criteria for admission to these programmes have been revised and candidates from medical as well as non-medical streams will be eligible to get admission to these programmes. A candidate will be eligible to contest for admission in these courses with only a single application. Special courses would be offered to students to make up their deficiency, if any. The university has reformed the admission and tuition fee for these courses.
Registrar S Prabhakar said all constituent institutes/ colleges of GADVASU and their degree programme are accredited with the ICAR. Admissions are open for candidates from other states as well.
