Ustad Johar Ali Khan cast a spell with his violin at Partap Public School.
Khan was on a special visit to the school for an interactive session with students and the staff. The maestro spoke about the need to promote the Indian classical music. Interspersed with personal anecdotes and pieces of violin presentations, he established an instant rapport with the audience.
The two-hour performance proved a virtual musical feast that made the audience burst into applause. “Such events take students’ attention to good music early in life, besides making them meet maestros in their impressionistic years,” said school Principal Gurshminder Singh Jagpal.
