Sunny (45 runs off 23 balls) and Dhruv (5 wickets for 7 runs) enabled Warrior Cricket Academy record a thumping victory by 147 runs against Bright Future Cricket Club in the first match of the inaugural edition of the Friendship Cricket Cup Tournament (U-15) that began at Kamla Lohtia SD College ground, near Daresi here today.

The tournament is being organised by Kamla Lohtia College Cricket Academy in which four teams are taking part and matches of 25 overs each side are played.

Batting first after winning the toss, Warrior Cricket Academy scored a big score of 217 runs in 23.1 overs in which the main contributions came through Sunny (45), Prince (28) and Dhruv (22).

For the Bright Future Cricket Club, Kamleh and Shivam were the main wicket takers. Kamlesh grabbed four wickets in five overs after giving away 37 runs while Shivam took two wickets for 29 runs in five overs.

Chasing the target, Bright Future Cricket Club wilted under pressure as their reply culminated at 70 runs in 15.2 overs. Only two batsmen, Sunny and Shiam could reach double figure, making 15 and 14 runs, respectively.

For the winning side, Dhruv captured five wickets after conceding seven runs, Sunny claimed two wickets for 12 runs whereas Vishal and Himanshu chipped in with one wicket each.
