As a mark of surrendering all endeavours in the hands of God, a special prayer service was conducted by the school director, Father Sahota. He captivated the audience with couplets and verses from the Holy Bible.

The school choir melodiously sang hymns invoking the Almighty’s blessings. The staff representatives, Navdeep and Shewta, along with students’ council, also offered prayers on the occasion.

In his presidential address, Father John Mankuzhichalil emphasised on the need to cultivate moral and spiritual values in children by introducing the motto for the year “Do good and stay away from every evil” and the value to be practiced for the year “Be just to everyone”.

Proficiency award winners were felicitated with small gifts. Students of the Kindergarten wing entertained tiny tots and their parents with a variety cultural programme. It being their first day in school, students were excited and filled with mixed feelings of joy and sorrow.

The ceremony summed up with blessings of the chief guest and introducing little kids to the world of alphabets by writing the first letter in a tray of rice grains in the name of God. Writing on grains denotes the acquisition of knowledge, which leads to prosperity.
