Ludhiana: Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management organised a two-day workshop for the faculty on the basics of research methodology. The workshop was conducted by Dr Asha Chawla, Associate Professor of commerce at GVM. Girls College, Sonepat, and Dr Seema Malik, Assistant Professor of commerce at the Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalya (BPSMV), Sonepat. The scholars were welcomed by the director education, Dr Sushil Kumar and the principal, Dr RL Behl. After the formal welcome, the principal motivated the faculty to utilise this opportunity to hone and develop their analytical skills. Apart from providing a theoretical base to the faculty on topics such as data analysis, types of measurement scales used in research, basics of hypothesis testing, the concepts were also practically illustrated and taught on the SPSS software. The hands-on training session acquainted the audience with the usage of the software and gave them a practical insight into the field of research. 

DD Jain College students shine

Students of DD Jain College of Education proved their mettle in the BEd examinations conducted by Panjab University, Chandigarh. Jyotika Malhotra stood seventh in the university and first in the college with 86.7% marks. Shivani Pruthi bagged tenth position in the university and second in the college by scoring 86.0% marks, while Sumita Halder bagged third position in the college by securing 83.1% marks.  

GHG Khalsa College of Education

Students of BEd of the GHG Khalsa College of Education, Gurusar Sadhar, brought laurels to the college by securing university positions. Sakshi Sharma secured first position in the university by scoring 40/450 marks, while Richa Kalra achieved third position by obtaining 395/ 450. TNS
