Wrestling c’ship: LRDAV College students shine

Students of Lajpat Rai DAV College, Jagraon, brought laurels by clinching two medals at the Inter-College Wrestling Championship organised by Panjab University, Chandigarh, recently.

Physical Department’s HOD Parmindar Singh Bajwa said Prabhjot Singh of BA second year won the bronze medal in the 82 kg weight category during the championship held at the university campus. Another second year student of the college, Vishal Singh, also bagged a bronze medal in the 55 kg weight category.

College Principal Karan Sharma congratulated both students on their achievement. He said it was good that college students were performing well in sports events, along with the academics and cultural activities.
