Man decamps with Rs 3.76 lakh, booked

Sangrur: An unidentified person decamped with Rs 3.76 lakh today evening. Rakesh Kumar, SHO, Sangrur Sadar police station, said, “Jasveer Kaur with her son Manavjeet Singh was returning from Patiala after taking Rs 4.26 lakh back from an immigration office on a motorcycle. When they reached near Harkrishanpura, their motorcycle collided with the divider and the cash got scattered.” He said a passerby helped them and handed Rs 50,000 but allegedly fled with Rs 3.76 lakh.
