YAMUNANAGAR: A man shot at his wife in Farakpur area of Yamunanagar city on Saturday night over some unknown issue.

Yamunanagar, September 15

A man shot at his wife in Farakpur area of Yamunanagar city on Saturday night over some unknown issue. The woman has been identified as Sonia and has been admitted to a private hospital here in a serious condition.

On the complaint of Robin of Gogdipur village of Karnal district, a case was registered against Naresh Kumar of his village at Farakpur police station today.

According to information, the woman belongs to Rohtak district and had married Naresh Kumar 10 years ago.

In his police complaint, Robin said that a matrimonial dispute was going on between Sonia and her husband Naresh Kumar.

“Sonia is known to me. We were in Yamunanagar yesterday. When we were on Radaur road in Yamunanagar, Sonia’s husband — all of a sudden — came there and shot at his wife. The bullet hit her on the shoulder, injuring her seriously,” said Robin.

Yashpal Nehra, SHO, Farakpur police station, said that a case had been registered against Naresh Kumar under various Sections of the IPC.
