The Resident Welfare Association, CHB flats, MHC, Mani Majra, during its annual general body meeting unanimously Col Gursewak Singh (retd) as its third president after RC Dhawan resigned on health grounds. The term of the new president is for three years. Other office-bearers will be nominated by the president.

The association works for the welfare of 8,500 residents living in over 2,350 flats. The nominated councillor, Babu Lal, who is also the patron of the association, along with other patron Amrit Dhingra, was present on the occasion.
