Landslides have damaged the road leading to the famous Manimahesh shrine. Additional District Magistrate (ADM), Bharmour, PP Singh today advised pilgrims to suspend the yatra, saying the incessant rain had damaged almost all motorable roads from Hadsar to Manimahesh. The Manimahesh yatra was to start on August 24.

“The Manimahesh nullah is flooded. Continuing the yatra can prove fatal,” the ADM said. The pilgrims should wait for the weather to improve, he added.  — OC
