Massive fire breaks out at DGHS office in Delhi''s Karkardooma

A massive fire broke out in the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) office in the National Capital's Karkardooma area on Friday afternoon, officials said
Fire department received a call at 1.50 pm.
"More than 60 fire personnel have been deployed in the fire fighting operation. No casualty has been reported," said Atul Garg, Chief Fire Officer.
Authorities are trying to ascertain the cause of the fire. No casualities have been reported.

News reports say at least 400-500 people, including employees of the government office, were inside the building when the fire started spreading across the structure.
The massive fire started on the sixth floor of the DGHS building and spread quickly to the seventh and eighth floors.
In response to the fire, BJP leader Gautam Gambhir tweeted: "The inferno at the Directorate of Health Services building at Karkardooma is thankfully under control. I thank the Delhi Fire Department for their quick response in curbing the fire. I've spoken to the DCP, and thankfully there are no casualties."
