The Mat-Pita-Santan Divas was observed at IS Dev Samaj Senior Secondary School, Sector 21. The school principal explained the importance of the day. A cultural and musical programme was presented by students. Nursery students presented an impressive dance item. Some students recited poems, in which they confessed their past mistakes, negligence and omissions.

Workshop

A workshop on teaching skills, managing challenging behavior and child disorders was conducted for the primary wing teachers at Ajit Karam Singh International Public School (AKSIPS), Sector 41. The main objective of the workshop was to a build a strong relationship between teachers and students.

Firm collects waste paper from students

To follow the three ‘R’ rule-reduce, reuse and recycle, an initiative was taken up by Bhavan Vidyalaya Junior to recycle and reuse the paper. Students brought waste papers from their homes and got that exchanged with new notebooks and registers. Representatives from the company Recycle with Us were in the school for three days and they collected 1,800 kg of paper.

National Science Day observed

National Science Day was observed with great zeal and enthusiasm at Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 33, in collaboration with Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 47, and Government Senior Secondary School, Behlana, under the Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan. Around 100 students participated in the programme organised on the occasion.

Annual day

The junior wing of the AKSIPS- 65 participated with enthusiasm in their annual day function “Jewels”. Tiny tots took the audience to a journey of different states through their performances. An excellent choreography, synchronisation and coordination added vibrancy to the dance items .

Farewell

A warm farewell was given to students of Class XII at Shishu Niketan School, Sector 66. A cultural programme, included games and ramp walk, was held on the occasion. — TNS

Healthy baby & smart kid show

Atticus International School, Zirakpur, organised a healthy baby and smart kid show on Tuesday. Tiny tots welcomed everybody with a scintillating dance performance. The highlight of the show was a ramp walk by children of various age groups.
