Minerva Punjab FC have signed Japanese midfielder Toshiya Hosoe for the upcoming season of the I-League, the club said here today.

With All India Football Federation (AIFF) allowing the clubs to play six foreigners in their respective teams in the upcoming edition of the I-League, Minerva have roped in Japanese midfielder Hosoe, added the city-based club.

The 26-year-old Hosoe played at Port Melbourne Sharks SC, Philippines Football League and Maldives heavyweights Maziya Sports and Recreation Club. He also represented the Maldivian based outfit in the AFC Cup competition.
