New Delhi, July 20

The National Green Tribunal on Wednesday ordered de-registration of diesel vehicle in phases, with those older than 15 years going first.

Commercial diesel vehicles that are more 10 years old will not be allowed insident Delhi, but will be allowed to bypass it if they have a national permit.

The tribunal directed DDA to provide space to DTC and police for the purpose of parking of de-registered vehicles.

The order is a following up of the court’s last order in which it asked the Delhi Government to cancel the registration of all diesel-powered vehicles that are more than 10 years old from plying in the city. — Agencies
