25 officers quizzed in Assam job scam

Guwahati: A state police team probing the jobs-for-cash racket in Assam Public Service Commission on Friday summoned for questioning 25 Assam Civil Service and Assam Police Service officers who were selected in 2015. They were interrogated at the Assam Police Special Branch headquarters at Kahilipara in the city. Sources said samples of their handwriting were collected for forensic test. The investigating team had earlier seized the APSC examination answer scripts of these officers who are now serving at various locations in the state. TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
