Advani’s wife passes away

New Delhi, April 6

Kamla Advani, wife of BJP leader LK Advani, passed away after suffering a heart attack today.

Kamla, 83, was admitted to AIIMS where she breathed her last. Besides her husband, she leaves behind son Jayant and daughter Pratibha Advani. AIIMS said Kamla Advani was brought to the hospital at 5.10 pm in an unconscious and unresponsive condition and was declared dead at 6.10 pm.

PM Narendra Modi, Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy CM Sukhbir Badal expressed their condolences over her demise. — TNS
