THE TRIBUNE has launched an application for its Web edition for use on Android mobile phones. At 3.7 MB, it is a very small download from Google Play. You may to get it.
This app is besides another very successful one that was already there for the e-paper, i.e., to see the pages of the daily print editions of The Tribune. The e-paper app can be .
The Android app for the Web edition is an efficient way to receive in one place all stories from the various editions and daily and weekly supplements of The Tribune, apart from live updates on the day’s news events.
Certain features like the Health and Science/Technology pages, photo album, etc, are add-ons over the print editions.
There are inquiries from readers regarding an app for iOS. The Tribune team is working on this, and it should be available soon.

Features of The Tribune Web App for Android phones:
* The menu for the various news/features sections can be accessed through the options link at the top left corner, or by sliding the menu out of the left edge.
* The menu is also available in the horizontal bar at the top. This bar can be made to slide to reach a desired section quickly.
* When reading a story in a particular section, you can swipe for the next or previous story in the same section.
* Every time the app is opened, it gets automatically refreshed. But you may want to refresh it manually (top right corner) to get the latest news updates in case the app has been open for a long time.
