Former Union minister Bhishma Narain Singh died at a hospital in Noida following a prolonged illness, hospital sources said on Thursday. He was 85.
He was diagnosed with “high grade B cell lymphoma with metastasis”. Singh, who had also served as Assam Governor, died of “septic shock with multi-organ failure” on Wednesday evening, the hospital said.

Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Congress chief Rahul Gandhi and others condoled his demise. — PTI
