Avinash, Jain elevated in BJP re-shuffle

BJP president Amit Shah today affected a major re-shuffle in the party organisation appointing three vice-presidents, three general secretaries and four secretaries. Former Punjab BJP president Avinash Rai Khanna has been appointed vice president of the party along with former general secretary Om Mathur and Shyam Jaju, who has been elevated to the position of vice president from the post of secretary.
Dr Anil Jain, secretary in charge of the party affairs in Haryana, has been promoted as general secretary along with Kailash Vijayvargiya, a Cabinet minister in the Madhya Pradesh government who played a major role in the BJP’s victory in the Haryana Assembly polls.
Arun Singh, a relative of Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, has been elevated to the post of general secretary from secretary’s post. Suresh Pujari, Mahendra Singh, Mahesh Giri and Farooq Khan are the new secretaries in the party organisation.
