Rajouri: After truce violations in Poonch and Rajouri along the Line of Control, the Pakistan air force on Tuesday reportedly violated Indian air space as its aircraft was spotted by residents of Pukhrani, Jhangar and other villages in Nowshera subdivision of Rajouri district. “No report of air space violation by the Pakistan air force in Nowshera sector in Rajouri district has been received,” a defence spokesperson said. Summons against ‘The Wire’ in Jay case

Ahmedabad: A local court has prima facie found defamation in publishing an article by online news portal “The Wire” on alleged exponential rise of company of BJP national president Amit Shah’s son Jay Shah and has issued summons against all responsible for its publication. Summons have been issued against writer Rohini Singh, its two co-editors and four others, including owner, for the October 8 article. TNS

Fire in Mumbai building housing celebs

Mumbai: Residents of La Mer building, including relatives of celebrities Sachin Tendulkar and Aishwarya Rai, had a narrow escape after a major fire broke out this afternoon, police and fire brigade officials said. The fire, suspected to have been caused by a short-circuit, broke out on the 10th floor of the building in Bandra. Tendulkar’s in-laws own the 10th and 11th floors. His father-in-law along with some domestic help vacated the premises. Other residents include Aishwarya’s mother. — TNS
