Businessman in jail after rape charge by actor

The Juhu police here arrested a city-based businessman, Sarfaraz Mohammad alias Aman Khanna, 38, after a veteran actress filed a complaint of rape against him.

According to the police, the woman, a popular actress of the 1970s and 1980s, filed the complaint late Thursday night. The woman had filed complaints against him in the past as well after which he had been arrested, according to the police.

The actress had, in January, accused the man of stalking and molesting her after which he had been arrested. The police had then said the actress had been in a relationship with Khanna, which turned sour. Though she kept a distance from him, the businessman allegedly stalked her and misbehaved with her on many occasions, the earlier complaint with the police said. — TNS
