The Bombay High Court on Monday admonished the Maharashtra Government for delay in hand-over of files to Justice JA Patil Commission probing irregularities in allotment of flats under the Chief Minister's discretionary quota since 1982. “You cannot take months to give the files," said a Division Bench. Rabri told to appear in court
A Patna district court on Monday ordered former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi and state minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh Lallan to appear before it in person on March 10 in connection with their petitions for mutual compromise in a defamation case Singh had filed against her. Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) Javed Ahmad ordered the two to be present in person in the court on March 10. PTI

BSNL engineer shot dead
A BSNL official was shot dead and his niece sustained bullet injury as unidentified gunmen fired at them in Dimapur district of Nagaland. A masked man called BSNL Sub-Divisional Engineer Gaithuikungpu Mukta Rongmei from his home at Naga Gaon in Dimapur Sunday night. When Rongmei was at the door, the man shot in his face from point blank twice and fled, the police said. PTI
