“You must remember that the nature of crime is changing. It is no longer just conventional crime. Terrorism is a great curse on society. You have to deploy all modern tools to fight terror,” he said after reviewing the passing-out parade of the IPS probationers at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy here.

He was the chief guest at the 68th Regular Recruits’ (2015 batch) passing-out parade that marks the completion of their training at the academy.

In all, 124 probationers, including 15 foreign trainees, underwent the 44-week training at the academy.

Of the 15 foreign officer trainees, five are from the Nepal Police Service, six are from the Royal Bhutan Police Service and four trainees are from the Maldivian Police Service.
