Google honours psychiatrist Herbert Kleber
New Delhi: Google Doodle on Tuesday honoured noted American psychiatrist Herbert Kleber on the 23rd anniversary of his election to the National Academy of Medicine, earlier known as the Institute of Medicine. Born on June 19, 1934, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the USA, Kleber was a psychiatrist and substance abuse researcher. In 1996, Kleber was elected to the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Science. He passed away on October 5, 2018, at the age of 84. PTI
Now, e-visa for St Petersburg, Leningrad region
New Delhi: Russia will give e-visas to Indians visiting its cultural capital Saint Petersburg and the Leningrad Region and extend the facility for the rest of the country by 2021, official said on Tuesday. The facility starts from October 1 and can be availed by filling an e-application form and uploading a digital photo at least four days before the expected date of arrival in the Russian Federation. India’s oldest chimpanzee dies in Delhi zoo
New Delhi: India’s oldest chimpanzee, Rita, which had been battling old age-related health problems and was on a liquid diet, died at the Delhi zoo on Tuesday, officials said. “The 59-year-old chimpanzee had not been keeping well since July 27. She was not eating properly and had become frail,” a Delhi zoo official said. Born on December 12, 1960, in an Amsterdam zoo and acquired by the Delhi zoo in 1990, Rita was the oldest chimp in India and probably the “oldest in Asia", according to the Limca Book of Records. PTI
