Lahore, January 30
Jamaat ud Dawa chief Hafiz Saeed has been placed under house arrest in Lahore, the organisation said on Monday.
Saeed, who has been suspected of engineering the 2008 Mumbai terrorist attacks, has been placed under house arrest at a mosque, a media report claimed. The organisation is also likely to be banned, the report said.
“Pakistan orders Hafiz Saeed under house arrest,” a spokesman said, although details are still sketchy.
