India is building a secret nuclear city to produce thermonuclear weapons and when completed in 2017, the facility will be the subcontinent’s “largest military-run” complex of nuclear centrifuges, an American foreign policy journal has claimed. The secret city in Challakere, Karnataka, could “upgrade” the country as a nuclear power. “Another ambition is to give India enriched uranium that could be used in hydrogen bombs,” the report said. — PTI
