Guwahati: Two days after being suspended by the Assam home department for allegedly leaking vital information regarding a sensitive case, CID SSP N Rajamarthandan was arrested on Thursday midnight. City Police Commissioner Hiren Nath said the SSP was arrested after two days of questioning in the wake of a criminal case filed against by him by CID DIG Raunak Ali Hazarika. The arrested IPS officer of the Assam-Meghalaya cadre was produced before the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate who sent him to two-day police custody. TNS
