Mayawati attacks new Cong team in UP

Lucknow: Reacting strongly to the new Congress team in Uttar Pradesh was BSP supremo Mayawati who charged chief ministerial candidate Sheila Dikshit of having done nothing for Dalits in Delhi. “Spending most of her time in Delhi the Congress has sent her to UP in the false hope of pleasing the outraged Brahmins. No such thing will happen as the Congress is nowhere near capturing power,” she said. She also charged Dikshit of diverting funds meant for the welfare for Dalits, OBCs and the marginalised to other budget heads while she was the CM in Delhi. "She has allegations of graft in the Commonwealth Games and Delhi Jal Board. What good can such a person do for the common people of Uttar Pradesh,” she said. TNS
